Episode 25: Attack Of The Cummybears

It’s National Talk Like A Pirate Day, National POW/MIA day, National Butterscotch Pudding Day, and National Tradesman Day. Victoria joins us for the show. We go into the longest intro ever. We talk about GWAR’s new frontwoman among other things. Shoutout to Annaleis (@wiretechgirl) of the Dark Angels And Pretty Freaks podcast as she had a two day marathon of our show and anyone that can put up with that deserves mad props. A sad moment in the podcast occurs when Tony announces the death of his co-worker. Nhat wonders what Tony does all day since he’s always winning tickets at work and then wishes there were something called a fuckometer that measures in real time how many fuck-bombs are dropped during a recording. Nhat poses a question of the week that probably should have stayed inside his head. We discuss the upcoming Deadpool movie. We try to figure out why Victoria is such a snob. We talk about the Facebook version for the wealthy and go into Tony’s old crime spree.

Intro song of the week:

“Rusty Nail” – In Flames

Outro song of the week:

“Die Die, My Darling” – The Misfits

It’s National Cream Filled Donut Day. Dave (Arc Rev One) joins us for our main show. We go into weather patterns and if it’s changed over the past many years. There’s mention of the government entity HAARP and if it controls the weather. Tony goes into politics, which prompts Dave to reluctantly chime in his views. We talk about the limits we would go to to avoid being homeless. We somehow get onto the subject of transexuals. Tony admits that he spends an unhealthy amount of time worrying who’s checking out his butt. Tony and Nhat talk about the Oddball Comedy Fest they attended at Red Rocks and Nhat’s creepy douche of a co-worker. We also went to go see Maze Runner on a couple of free passes and give our review. Episode 22: Greed Begets More Greed

“Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves.” ― Horace Mann. It’s National Toasted Marshmallows Day. We record a rare Friday night podcast because Tony has house guests this weekend. Tony’s cousin’s cousin lost her dog. We react to DC Comics’ statement that they’re not going to have any humor in their future movies. We talk about greed and the downfalls of money. Lucid dreaming comes into the conversation and then mercifully, Nhat’s laptop starts to die, which prompts the outro.

Episode 20: The Cantaloupe That Broke The Camel’s Straw

It’s National Thrift Store Day and National Vanilla Custard Day. We wonder what Snausages taste like and what they’re made out of. Tony got a free ticket to see Chimaira and Allegaeon. Tony meets an annoying 36-year-old that refuses to change. Tony reveals his gangsta name, “Tony 3 Meats.” You’ll have to tune in to find out why. We lament about the passing of Robin Williams and Nhat can relate to that kind of loss, unfortunately.

Apparently, Nhat couldn’t yo-yo to save his life and Tony is appalled at how useless he is. Nhat has one week to learn how to yo-yo and learn to play the harmonica.

Intro song of the week:

“Postmortem” – Slayer

 Outro song of the week:

Nhat’s compiled a “best of” compilation of sound clips from The Lo Fi Show strictly out of boredom and plays them.  We discuss the fact that we should probably be dead with all the dumb stuff we’ve done and trying to get out of social media.

They talk about trying to start depresseddating.com and Tony’s family going to see Lady Gaga and Baby Metal. We talk about life and the cosmos, the future, and the primordial soup.  Nhat thinks that Michael Bay and Tyler Perry should join forces to make the shittiest movie on earth, “Madea Goes To Space.”

Episode 18: Let’s Go Eboling

It’s National Best Friends Day, National Family Day, National Watermelon Day and a number of other silly days. Nhat and Tony start off talking about how time is perceived differently as you grow older. Nhat mentions how Blackbeard was killed and the legend surrounding his corpse. From there, we go into some morbid subjects. We celebrate National Family Day by mentioning alleged killers in our family. Tony sings a song for National Friendship Day. We make fun of strange death metal band names.

We briefly review Guardians of the Galaxy, which, we confirmed that using the words “Stars Wars” when talking about this movie wasn’t entirely too far-fetched in our humble opinion. Our bet was finally settled… back a few episodes ago, Tony didn’t think anyone was actually listening, so he bet Nhat lunch that we wouldn’t get anyone tweeting us to confirm that they were listeners by episode 20.

Sure enough, Annaleis (@wiretechgirl) from the Dark Angels And Pretty Freaks podcast tweeted that she was listening to our podcast while making dinner right when Tony and I were waiting to watch Guardians this past Wednesday evening. So Nhat won the bet and Tony takes him to Smashburger (it could’ve been a lot worse). We talk about movies that should’ve never had sequels. We wondered if getting Vin Diesel was really necessary for the voice of Groot. We take a light-hearted look at ebola.

We have another segment of “Who’s Shittier?” with another round of crap bands.

Intro song of the week:

“Gravimetric Time Dilation” – Allegaeon

 Outro song of the week:

“Selkies: The Endless Obsession” – Between The Buried And Me
