Episode 96: Pack Your Back Says The Mexican Scott Stapp

It’s National Organ Donor Day, National Ferris Wheel Day, National Cream-Filled Chocolates Day and Valentine’s Day. We have the Valentine’s edition of a Satan and Emma promo, WTF Is In My Jell-o?, and Who’s Shittier? This week, a song called “Pack Your Back,” by Dirty Woman stole the show. Needless to say, it won “Who’s Shittier?” by a landslide. Check out their album link below and you’ll hear exactly why. We talk about a great indie movie, Highway 61. Much to our (and our Mixlr audience’s) dismay, “Pack Your Back” makes a surprise appearance throughout the show.

Number One Featured Song Of The Week:

“Stupid Kid” – Alkaline Trio

Number Two Featured Song Of The Week:

It’s National Home Warranty Day, National Toothache Day and National Bagel Day. We start off right away talking about religion and we’re obviously clueless about it. We talk about Super Bowl 50, Cam Newton, Eli Manning and politics. Tony goes to see a quadruple metal bill at the Bluebird. Tony reminisces about Goat Horn, which is the band that he listened to on his first date with Z. Nhat decides to give up shoes for Jesus. Tony thinks something died outside of his house in the snow and feels bad, but not bad enough to try and save it, even after hearing its struggles for help. Lorne tries to convince Tony that Nevada has snowboarding-worthy snow.

Episode 92: The Queen’s Droopy Bagpipe

It’s National Hot Buttered Rum Day and National Bootlegger’s Day. We start the show off watching Nhat’s cat chase the reflection off of his phone and it only gets more riveting from there. We try unsuccessfully to get anyone on the phone until we call Lorne’s (from the Bold And Belligerent Podcast) dad and then Tony delivers the gold. We talk about Tony donning a skin tight Wolverine costume and we theorize he might look something like this. Nhat and Tony get into some strange Periscope-off trying to get each other to cry. The end of the show comes crashing down into a giant pile of shit.

Intro song of the week:

“The God Particle” – Allegaeon

Featured Song Of The Week:

“Her Name In Blood” – Strung Out

Outro song of the week:

We talk about going non-stop on the 100th episode as long as the Mixlr listeners stay active in chat. We both went to Trve Brewery to see streaming video of Lemmy’s memorial. We discuss shit experiences with one ply toilet paper and swimming in shit.
